Mmusi Maimane to start a new political party.

Former DA leader Mmusi Maimane to start a new political party, although he hasn't revealed more details about the party but they will be a party and the details will be revealed when the time is right. Maimane left the DA last month after failing to reach an agreement with members of the federal council about addressing challenges facing black people.

Maimane made it very clear that he is not retiring from politics anytime soon and indeed he is working on forming a new political party. He said through his new party he would drive the redress imbalances agenda which according to him were rejected in his former political home which was the DA.

Maimane said he resigned from DA because of the differences between him and certain leaders made it difficult for him to continue leading the party. Maimane resigned few hours apart from Herman Mashaba who was the Johannesburg mayor soon after Helen Zille was elected as federal Council chairperson, a position that is considered to be crucial in driving the party.

A  lot of people say they were expecting Maimane to start his political party after his departure from the DA.

The question now is does he have what it takes to start a new political party?

Political analyst Professor Somadoda Fikeni saif Maimane's new party could make it to Parliament as only 40 000 votes were required. Fikene said Maimane surely has a national profile therefore he would be able to expand and have an impact.

Mmusi Maimane says he remains part of the country's politics because he loves this country and loves the Vision that he has articulated of the non-racial South Africa.

She is the founder of Help Matriculate Centre (HMC) and Masedi Education projects. Phahlamohlaka has always had so much passion for education which today she stands to advocate for, through the organisation HMC she has managed to help thousands of learners apply for tertiary education. She did her first degree at the Witwatersrand University, which she says she did not like doing. "The time I finished my matric, mining was one of the sectors which had many jobs, and studying geology made sense to me at that time," said Phaahlamohlaka. She says she wanted to help matriculants, not to choose courses they do not want and also to help those who do not have finances to pay for application and registration fees. Another victory for the Department of Basic Education

The ONE MOVEMENT SOUTH AFRICA which is led by the former Democratic Alliance leader Mmusi Maimane has today taken the Department of Basic Education to court to stop the reopening of schools that are scheduled for next week Monday for grade 7 and 12 pupils. The Constitutional Court of South Africa has all of that the application for direct access to the Court on an urgent basis is dismissed. which left the Department of basic education with another victory over the reopening of schools. Although the Constitutional Court has dismissed the application to block the reopening of schools on the 8 June Mmusi Maimane says it did not mean a loss for his organization and that they could approach a lower Court to hear the matter.
