He is a poet, motivational speaker, and the author of a motivational book titled “THE UNTOLD TRUTH”, which was published last year. He is currently a student at the Central University of Technology. Although the two havent confirmed if they are in a relationship or not. By: Surprise Golela   The Department of Basic Education has cancelled this year’s final examinations for grade 10 and 11 pupils and the examination will be replaced with controlled tests. In line with the revised annual teaching plans and the time spent on teaching and learning, the promotion requirements for 2020 academic year have been revised. Grade 10’s will sit for an hour duration paper while Grade 11 will sit for two hours long papers. The pupils will write tests which are set by their schools, this is because the common tests which are always set by the provinces will not be set this year. The circular by the Department of Basic Education states that control tests should be set only on the content that was taught to pupils. “The controlled test must cover portion of the curriculum taught preferably work covered in all terms, wherever possible,” The circular further states that the tests must be administered under controlled conditions. “Fundamental subject...

The show, which has become a favorite in Mzansi, features Somizi having dinner with a celebrity at his house every week. Each week, a new celebrity emerges. Now, damning evidence has emerged to prove that the idea of Dinner With Somizi was stolen from one Hastings Moeng. In the email ,Hastings sent a show proposal email to Somizi. By: Surprise Golela   The Department of Basic Education has released the final combined matric examination time-table. Early this year the Department postponed the writing of the National Senior Certificate and the Senior Certificate examinations, which were meant to be written by more than 350 000 part-time candidates in May and June this year due to COVID-19. The Combined June and November examinations will officially commence on Thursday,  November 20-20, and end on Tuesday, 15 December 2020. The department says the late commencement of the final Grade 12 examinations will allow schools and learners adequate time to cover the curriculum and also ensure that ample time is allocated for revision of the syllabus. This year over 1,1 Million candidates are expected to sit for the 2020 matric exams. The Education Dept said all registered candidates will receive an admission letter, by end of September 2020. The days are long and the wait is longer. While matriculants up and down the country are lounging around at home, suffering from FOMO and thinking that everyone else is having a bigger, better holiday than them( trust me, they aren't). Basic education Minister Angie Motshekga has announced that the national 2019 matric results will be announced on the evening of Tuesday January 7th 2020. Former DA leader Mmusi Maimane to start a new political party, although he hasn't revealed more details about the party but they will be a party and the details will be revealed when the time is right. Matriculants are writing their final examinations and we all know that this is a very stressful time of the year to them. It is not only Matriculants who are faced with this situation but also many other students all over the country who are in universities and colleges. The pressure to pass can be overwhelming as extra attention it is really placed on them, be it from government, family, community  and even peers.  This is that time of the year where we are all tested on what we have been doing throughout the year. This season can bring on levels of stress and burnout that can hinder your studies. We are all stressed by these exams in different ways. It was very clear in the dark days of apartheid that we wanted a different and better society. One in which all people would be treated with dignity and respect; inequality would be eradicated or at least, seriously diminished; everyone would feel that they have equal opportunities to achieve their potential; everyone would feel safe, and enjoy the beauty of our country. What we have seen since we have become a democracy has been almost the opposite. I was one of those optimistic people who have always held out high hopes for our country, and in many ways I still do. But it is becoming more and more difficult to remain positive when you are surrounded by so much negativity. Everyday there's a case of a father who killed his child(ren). A young girl who is no where to be found. Is this the South Africa we were fighting for? Where did we go wrong as a country? Is the justice system of South Africa becoming worse and worse? The unemployment rate in South Africa has increased.  According to a report by Stats S.A. the unemployment rate has increased to 29% in the second quarter of the year. This is actually the highest recordered since March 2008. Is this the direction that we are taking as a country. Weren't things supposed to be getting better. The political system in the county is in stumbles, the leadership is the one that is fighting in state of working to better the country.  It is a court case after the other. As a country what will we do about this. Where is the future of the young people of our country? The job creation that was promised during the state of the nation address now would really seem like it was all dream that the President has for the country.
