Does it not bother you?

The South African unemployment rate has increased to 29.1% in the third quarter of the year 2019, this is an increase of 0.1% from the previous quarter statistics.

Where are we heading as country? Does it not bother you?

If the unemployment rate keeps going up like this what will be happening in the next 5 years to come?  The sad reality to every young person in South Africa is that the stats might continue going high and high.

With the 29.1% of unemployment we still have a lot of Students in universities and colleges all over the country who are looking forward to go in the corporate world.

Will they even find jobs?

Where will all these people go after graduating?

We hear now and then of big companies and mines that are retrenching people, those people are qualified for that job and we still have more who want the same job.

Who are we supposed to blame? Is it our government?

As always in the State of the nation address we are told of the things that the government will want to focus on but the big question is :are they doing as they said?

This is a national crisis and it should be addressed adequately and it should be on top of the issues that we face as a country.  It does not end by talking but more action needs to be done.

  1. In my own opinion the unemployment rate will decrease before the next coming 5 years only if the GEC is successful even though I think the GEC is a stupid idea
